Energy Efficiency

It is a well-known fact that energy is the biggest source of advancement in the developed countries and they are the largest consumers. There is a need for additional energy sources in the developing countries as well as conserving the available sources. Efforts are made to demonstrate with examples as to what may be accomplished using some of the models from the developed world in residential applications and the use of alternate material of construction and energy resources.

The actual case study is presented using a house in Washington, DC area to save energy use (and cost) up to 50% and using alternate energy sources and better construction materials such as insulated and lightweight concrete, recycled steel and better insulation materials.
